I work in a newsroom. We work mostly on PCs using Adobe Premiere. We use clips from a lot of other agencies. We have used KeepVid for YouTube and Download Helper for many networks, but C-Span and other smaller sites use a preroll video or ad, and when you try to download from them, it downloads the ad rather than the video. Some sort of video capture program would work, as well, but we also have installs blocked on all computers, so I can't test it. It would have to be something free or low cost that a higher up could test out. Currently, we use a Skype-specific computer to play the video and another computer elsewhere to record that feed. C-Span sent my organization a copy of this presentation on DVD (my boss is the lady on the far right and colleages are in the middle!!!)- I have this DVD right here on my desk, alas, my 2009 iMac no longer accepts DVD's (it has been shaky ever since I got it and got progressively worse as the years went on) --- In short, I really need to find a way to grab this presentation:
